The research project concerns the study of the practices of Jordanian learners of French as a foreign language during the writing of the summary within the framework of an LMooc (Mooc language in English). Nine FLE license students from the Department of Modern Languages at the Yarmouk University in Jordan participated in the LMooc "Paroles de FLE", offered by the University of Nantes on the "France Université Numérique" website. In the first part of the article, after presenting the context of the study and the research problematic, we will approach the theoretical framework which defines theoretical concepts such as LMooc, and the characteristics which make it an environment of adequate learning for learning foreign languages.

We will also present certain principles of the theory of connectivism which underlie the Mooc conception and to which language didactics can refer to develop learning processes. We focus on the cognitive processes of the act of writing in online environments using the abstract as an academic genre of writing as an example. In the second part of the article, we will present the results of the qualitative analysis of the responses of the nine Jordanian learners, collected in semi-structured interviews conducted in late December 2015. The analysis is qualitative, it is based on "analysis of content".
