iBMS-JO project is the first of its kind not only in Jordan but also in the MENA region, offering an intercalated bachelor’s degrees in basic medical sciences. This degree will significantly benefit medical students of high ability who are considering a career in academia. In addition to gaining an understanding of the scientific principles that underpin modern medical practice, students will become skilled in a range of laboratory techniques, and experience the challenges of performing substantial laboratory research projects. iBMS-JO will also allow students to make contacts that maybe valuable in their future careers. Besides meeting the critical needs for basic medical scientists across the region. iBMS-JO will improve the professional network connecting medical schools in Jordan and the European Union.

Outcomes:

• A Report on 10 EU best practices in delivering iBSc programs
• At least eight "Training of Trainers" seminars on recent research and issues related to the medical education
• A webinar on Bologna Process and ECTS system
• At least 8 modules materials will be developed and accredited for the iBSc programs
• One capacity building (CB) plan on the training needs for the staff of JO HEIs
• Training of 48 JO professors in EU
• Admitting at least 120 students in all JO HEIs
• Training of JO students in EU
• Establishing and equipping 6 TL
• Conducting at least 60 research projects at the TL
