The President of Yarmouk University, Dr. Zeidan Kafafi, launched the new website of the University’s International Relations and Projects Department, where the launch of this website came from the university’s vision of strengthening its global and internationalization position.
The Director of International Relations and Projects, Dr. Mwaffaq Otoom, explained that the department designed and developed this website (https://dirp.yu.edu.jo/), which focused on highlighting the international relations of Yarmouk University, and its various activities implemented in cooperation with various educational institutions internationally, which reflects the ideal image of the university and highlights its prestigious position in the international educational community, adding that this website is the first of its kind in Jordanian universities by containing updated information in the fields of international relations and projects.
For his part, Deputy Director of the Department, the development supervisor of this website, Dr. Mohammad A. Alzubaidi, indicated that the website includes international university news, announcements and international events, in addition to a list of international agreements, arranged by country or year, and a list of exchange programs and announcements of opportunities available for the exchange of students, faculty members and staff, and procedures for joining exchange programs (in terms of conditions, selection criteria, available support ... etc.).
The website also included a presentation of the university's publications, such as a profile of Yarmouk University, study programs at the university, university newsletters related to the international dimension and promotional videos for the university. In addition, the website included useful information for visitors to Yarmouk University, which includes information about the airport, visas, transportation, housing and hotels, currency exchange, domestic tourism ... etc.).
With regard to the field of international projects, the website included a list of funded international projects, arranged according to the year of funding, or the subject of the project, or the principal investigator. A portfolio has been created for each project and published on the website, containing (a summary of the project, project subject areas, the principal investigator for the project, the college, the project period, the funding agency, the partners, the budget and the university’s share in it, the project website, the project outcomes, and a selected photo for the project.) The website also included a list of the funding agencies, and lectures/tutorials on writing project proposals.
It is worth mentioning that all these contents are available in both English and Arabic languages.
