EURAS (Eurasian Universities Union). EURAS is organizing one of the largest international education event in the Eurasian region, EURIE Summit, since 2016 in Istanbul. Due to the pandemic, 6th annual EURIE Summit is going online and will be organized on 3-5th of March 2021 in a virtual platform. You are invited to participate in the largest international education event in the Eurasian region, EURIE- Eurasia Higher Education Summit .

EURIE is the new meeting point for higher education institutions, looking to develop their international cooperation with prestigious institutions from the Eurasian region and all around the world. Senior academic managers, deans and directors responsible for internationalization, Erasmus and study abroad officers, international marketing and recruitment staff, international student advisors of HEIs, and representatives of other stakeholders in the sector, such as language schools, marketing service providers, and public agencies are welcome to attend. EURIE Summit 2021 will feature a virtual expo for networking, partnership and business development, as well as a conference dedicated to current issues in internationalization and higher education management. With numerous panels, seminars and keynote speeches participants have the opportunity to explore trends, best practices and innovative solutions in international education.

A group of modern Language / French students at Yarmouk University will participate in the Le Choix Goncourt de l'Orient 2020 for Middle East University students. Le Choix Goncourt de l'Orient is a regional francophone literary award sponsored by the Goncourt Academy for French-language literature and is awarded annually by the Academy of Goncour for the author of "the best and most imaginative prose work of the year".

Nine countries will participate (Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Iraq, Iraq, Iran, Djibouti, Sudan and Saudi Arabia), in addition to more than 20 universities. Participants from Jordan are students from four universities: Yarmouk University, Mutah University, University of Petra and Al-Zaytoonah University.

The event will be live-streamed on  FACEBOOK All students, teachers, and academic officials are allowed to follow up the event via Facebook on Tuesday 8-12-2020 at 12:00 p.m. This initiative will be covered by Destination francophonie on TV5Monde 


 

UNIMED announces the Opening Webinar of the UNIMED SubNetwork on Mediterranean Tourism, which will be the first official meeting of the SubNetwork on Mediterranean Tourism and the occasion to get to know each other, learn more on what Universities do in the field of Tourism and jointly discuss the SubNetwork action plan for the upcoming months.

The topic of this SubNetwork is even more relevant now due to the COVID outbreak and its impacts on the Tourism sector and we think that it is time for the SubNetwork to come alive. UNIMED SubNetwork on Mediterranean Tourism promotes synergies, knowledge-exchange and partnerships among the involved Universities, supports policy dialogue and strengthens consultation in the Mediterranean, being one of the world tourism hot spots. The SubNetwork aims to engage university departments, academics, researchers, practitioners, technologists and specialists working in the field.
