UNIMED is pleased to announce the launch of the 5th edition of the UNIMED Award, a collateral prize to the Venice International Film Festival to be assigned by a jury of international students coming from UNIMED associated universities.
The 78th edition of the Venice International Film Festival will be held from 1 to 11 September 2021 and students are invited to be part of this international jury. The UNIMED Award is part of the collaboration between UNIMED and la Biennale di Venezia, which is a significant recognition for our association. Indeed, la Biennale is one of the most important international contemporary art exhibitions and, in particular, the Venice Film Festival which take place within the exhibition, is one of the most prestigious international film festivals worldwide.
The UNIMED award will concur with other already-established awards and the jury will have one week to evaluate the movies and award the prize to the winner, according to the film’s sensitivity on the issues of cultural diversity and integration.
In this framework, UNIMED gives the opportunity to students pursuing a degree in visual arts from one of its associated universities to be part of the jury. For that purpose, interested students are kindly requested to send by March 25th, 2021 their CV and should fill the following application Form. Candidatures will be evaluated in a second step by a committee.

Oklahoma State University has two funded Ph.D. Research Assistant positions for Fall 2021 for Dr. Hantao Cui’s research group at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The following areas are of interest:
- dynamic modeling, computation methods, and control of renewable energy systems.
- transmission & distribution co-simulation, cyber-physical co-simulation.
- machine learning for power system operation, stability, and control.
