A unique opportunity for women working in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) under the GÉANT Emerging NREN Programme (ENP) 2026, which will take place alongside TNC26 in Helsinki, Finland, from 8–12 June 2026.
This opportunity is offered directly by GÉANT and is open to all eligible Arab National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), regardless of their participation in specific regional projects. It aims to support and promote the participation of women in STEM fields within the international NREN community.
GÉANT Selection – Women in STEM (ENP26)
As part of ENP26, GÉANT will sponsor 3–5 female participants from countries and territories listed as Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipients according to the OECD DAC classification.
Selection is competitive and based on the quality of the application and the proposed Lightning Talk. This track runs in parallel with other ENP selection tracks.
Application Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following:

A CV in English

A completed ENP26 application form (attached)

A Lightning Talk proposal, to be submitted via
Submit your proposal for TNC26,
with the talk title clearly indicated in the ENP application form
(proposal submission opens on 4 February)
All applications must be sent to ASREN no later than 10 February.
A selection committee composed of GÉANT International and Partner Relations Managers will finalize the list of selected participants in March 2026.
Sponsorship Coverage
Selected participants will receive:

Coverage of travel and accommodation costs (as appropriate)

Coverage of visa-related expenses

Local transportation, meals, and travel insurance

Full waiver of TNC26 registration and side meeting fees
Selected participants will be required to sign a volunteer agreement with GÉANT to facilitate the sponsorship process.
